MUSIC WITH A MISSION: All proceeds will be donated to Music Therapy at
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, through the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. ABOUT Families are invited to a vibrant afternoon of orchestral music as The Occasional Performing Sinfonia (TOPS), a leading community symphony orchestra, presents a relaxed and fun-filled concert, designed especially for a young audience. |
Children can sit on their cushions close to the orchestra, helping make the orchestral favourites even more engaging — perfect for first-time or experienced concertgoers alike. This concert is designed and presented by school music educators to help build early audience engagement, support music education pathways, and inspire lifelong participation in the arts.
The program features eleven concert favourites, including music from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Peter and the Wolf, How to Train Your Dragon, and Kabalevsky’s “Youth” Piano Concerto featuring local student soloist Yolanda Huang, from Hornsby Girls’ HS. |
Children are encouraged to dress as their favourite musical character!
