An Epic Journey - 1 May 2022

The Occasional Performing Sinfonia will deliver its "An Epic Journey" - A Charity Concert on the 1 May 2022, at the Auditorium of North Sydney Girls High School, Crows Nest.

Orchestra members come from city and country. There will be teachers, students, enthusiastic amateur musos and professionals (from SSO, MSO and AOBO). 

Jared Adams will take the centre stage as our soloist in the ground-breaking Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E Minor Ops 64. This is promised to an exciting performance of this concerto by one of the most accomplished violinists in Sydney.

The audience will also get to experience some of the most well-known movie themes by John Williams in this amazing concert.

We acknowledge the generous support of North Sydney Girl High School in the provision of its auditorium, all the orchestral equipment and the percussion instruments for this concert, rehearsal facilities, in particular Steve Hillinger, for making it possible.
